From now until Thursday, September 4, Daniel Boone Days Headquarters will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, serving as a ticket outlet for all Daniel Boone Days events. Headquarters even sells Daniel Boone caps (coonskin caps) for the world record attempt.
But Daniel Boone Days Headquarters is not just a ticket outlet; it's also a temporary museum where visitors can enjoy an exhibit on Daniel Boone from the Appalachian Cultural Museum, an exhibit on the Daniel Boone Hotel, a native bird exhibit from the Renegade Bluebirders, an exhibit on Daniel Boone Native Gardens, an exhibit on the Daniel Boone Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a barn quilt square and a regional wildlife exhibit. We even have a stuffed bear!
